What is the
Transitional Housing
Placement Plus
Program?
Mountain Circle is contracting with Plumas and Lassen
counties to provide the Innovative Transitional Housing
Placement-PlusProgram (THP-Plus). This program recognizes
that young adults who are emerging from the foster care
system, need to continue learning Independent Living Skills
(ILS).
It will allow young adults who are in the program the
opportunity to gain valuable lifeskills while experiencing the
greatest amount of freedom possible in order to prepare
for independent life as a self-sufficient emancipated adult.
The
program will facilitate a smooth transition for young adults
while offering support, training and guidance.
This is provided
through a Community Home Model, with an on-site live-in
Case Manager/Youth Advocate or Peer Counselor where young adults in the
program rent a room at Point InspirationHouse, attend an
educational program, have a job, savings and checking account
and learn other
independent
living skills (i.e.
laundry, cooking,
budgeting, paying
bills, grocery
shopping and
healthy living).
Mountain Circle
is looking for
young adults
who are willing
to be involved
in this rewarding
Program. If you
